Atv is the national television channel broadcasting in Turkey within the Turkuvaz Media Group. Metin Ergen was the general editor of ATV.
Atv was founded by Dinç Bilgin in 1993 with several channels together with the break-out of the state television channel by the initiative of Turgut Ozal in the 90s of the "state television" monopoly in Turkey in the 90's , and in 2002 the Ciner Media Group it is history. From 2007, until 2013, continued to broadcast under Çalık Holding. He still maintains publications related to Turkuvaz Media Group. The auction of the tender ended in 2007 and Sabah Newspaper's owner, Merkez Publishing, was sold to Turkuvaz AS, which is owned by Çalık Holding.
